I am known around these parts as K or "woman who feeds us and lets us out to poop". I have been married to my handsome husband since 2008. He is a very very tolerant of my Lab collection. He despises Lab hair but he knows that my life would be incomplete without my fur kids. He is hardly ever home anyway because he owns his own horse hauling business. He travels the US transporting horses, some livestock and occasionally dogs!

We live on a horse farm with our 6 Labs. In the picture below is 5 of them, the 6th one was uncooperative. Do you know how hard it is to get a decent picture of 6 dogs? Insanity! Literally 5 seconds after the moment was captured I got bombarded. I admit- I had food in my hand, how else do you think I got them to sit and look pretty? Bribary!!

My love of Labs started out when I was young with my family's first Lab, a yellow male named Dusty. He was such a meathead and a very avid swimmer. The dog LIVED for the water. When Dusty unexpectedly passed away from cancer at age 7, my family added a black female named Samantha. 5 years later another black female, Cody was added to their crew. Samantha was my baby girl and the sweetest Lab ever. She passed away at the age of 14 and not a day goes by that I don't think of her. I loved Labs before but Samantha made me fall in love with the breed. Miss Cody is still going strong at 14. My mom and dad have since added a yellow male named Riley to the family.

As soon as I moved into a house in my "adult life" I got a Lab. Her name is Maggie and she reminds me a lot of Samantha only she is yellow. When I met my husband he had a black Lab named Bailey. Bailey and Maggie are 6 months apart in age so they pretty much grew up together. Before we got married we added a chocolate Lab to the crew, his name is Benny. Then came the show boys! Grady was the first one. He is a yellow male and he presents me with much entertainment and blog material. He is a diva and where the Squish comes from in "Life with Squish". Grady's nickname is Squishy. Then came along Remington. He is a black male. He is a total momma's boy. Last but not least is Drifter Roo, the uncooperative one of the crew. Drifter is Grady's son and turning out to be quite the handsome show dog. He is a spitting image of Grady and is turning out to be a diva like his daddy!

On top of taking care of 6 lovable Labbies, I have 4 horses and live on a horse farm. I show Grady, Remington and Drifter at conformation dog shows and have been known to show horses also. I work full time for my dad, part time for my hubby, take care of the farm, and do my dogs' bidding. I am constantly running around with my head chopped off. Oh and I am just starting my kennel breeding Labradors also....I have a full plate!

When I have time I like to watch some reality TV. You know those Housewives shows and a couple dramas. Don't be suprised if a rant or 2 shows up here.

I also love to spread infromation for dog owners, horse owners and of course information on Labradors, showing and breeding.

Things definitley get crazy around here!

Welcome to the my Life with Squish!!
